Are you already planning some spooky marketing activities for this Halloween? Most popular in the US and UK, this holiday is also growing in the rest of Europe, so it’s the perfect opportunity to create engaging and targeted campaigns for your customers, to boost your sales with some Datatrics campaigns!

In this article, you will find three examples of how you could create some Halloween campaigns:

EMBEDDED RECOMMENDATIONS WITH HALLOWEEN RULING

You can create a product recommendations carousel on your homepage with a Halloween collection (you can create it in our content section). If you already have a homepage carousel, you can easily update or duplicate it.

It is also possible to use our recommendations ruling options to bias the algorithm into showing first certain products with attributes of your choice.

For example, if you are a fashion e-commerce, you can set a rule to show more black clothes (to do that, you need to add that field in your content), or, if you are a make-up shop, you can show face painting product categories first.

Tips: check out this article to learn more about our recommendation ruling!

NOTIFICATION OF NEW DEALS OR PROMOTIONS

If you are running a Halloween campaign with a dedicated collection or a sale, add a touchpoint to promote them. You can create an entire screen or smaller notifications and use Halloween-themed colors that can be more eye-catching!

Do not forget to add your coupon code so your user can easily find and copy-paste it.

Tips: you can also personalize your current touchpoint, such as persuasion or shipping ones with new graphics or emojis for this holiday.

SEGMENT CUSTOMERS AND AUTOMATE YOUR E-MAIL CAMPAIGNS

Gathering behavioral data of your customers is essential to use them for following seasonalities and a chance you cannot pass! If you create a Halloween touchpoint or a content collection, create a segment of users who interact with them (if you don’t know how to, read this article).

Users who are interested in themed activities might also be more likely to purchase again during the following holidays. So it’s important to create segments like those to reach out to them with dedicated communications or promotions.

You can also create a hybrid flow with automated email for users who interact with a Halloween category or touchpoint. If they do not convert, you can reach out to them with either a recap of the products that they viewed or a reminder of a promotion; you can have fun and create spooky emails to increase user engagement.

PRODUCTIVITY TIP

The holiday season can get very busy, but with Datatrics, you can plan all your campaigns and then set a schedule to make them live automatically without manually having to do it on that day. To achieve that, you have to set the scheduled time of your preferences and then set the touchpoint and campaign live (if it’s on draft, the scheduled time won’t work).

You can also create one campaign with all the Halloween-related touchpoints in it, and have a start- and end date to make this fully automated.

How? Go to Touchpoint settings → Schedule → Start date and end date and plan for your activities!
