Before you start, make sure that you have the following thing set up correctly:

After this, Datatrics can synchronize the following audiences with Google Ads:

  • An audience of the profiles in a specific customer journey
+ an audience of the profiles in a specific buying phase of a customer journey

  • An audience of the profiles in a specific campaign

  • An audience of the profiles in a segment

Customer Journey and Campaign synchronization

To synchronize audiences of profiles in customer journeys and campaigns, just check the option to synchronize profiles to external platforms. You can find this option in the settings tab of every customer journey and campaign.
There are ways in which you can synchronize the audiences to Google Ads:

  • Google Ads Tag (recommend): Set Google Ads to synchronize the audiences directly to Google Ads through the Google Ads Tag. For the best match of audiences we recommend this option.

  • Google Analytics Tag: If you want to synchronize the audiences to Google Ads through the Google Analytics tag, choose the option Google Analytics. The audiences will then be synchronized to Google Analytics and Google Analytics will synchronize the audiences to the linked Google Ads account.

Set Google Ads to synchronize the audiences directly to Google Ads through the Google Ads Tag. For the best match of audiences we recommend this option.

Datatrics will also create audiences for all buying phases and will add profiles to the audience of the buying phases they’re in.
