Note: You can also add the scripts and tags to Google Tag Manager manually, when you have performed those actions, it is not needed to add the Google Tag Manager integration. If you rather want to set up all tags manually, you can find the explanation over here, and you can find the relevant scripts over here.

If you want to install Google Tag Manager via our integration, first head over to https://app.datatrics.com/integrations/google-tagmanager/ and click on "install"

Click on the "connect to Google Tag Manager" button and you will be redirected to the following screen:

Log in with an account that has permission to publish in the Google Tag Manager account you want to connect.

Allow Datatrics to access the data.

After this you can select your account-id:

After filling in your account id, you have to fill in the id of the correct container

You then have to select the workspace:

After choosing the account, container, and workspace Datatrics can be used to add tags. Next, you can choose three tags you want to add to your workspace:

Choose the account, container, and workspace Datatrics can use to add tags. Next, you can choose three tags you want to add to your workspace:

  • The Datatrics Pixel (tracking script)

  • Datatrics Ecommerce Tags (which uses Google Tag Manager Enhanced Ecommerce)

  • Datatrics Universal Analytics Events (with this you can view all Datatrics events, segments, and our A/B-test in Google Analytics). You also need to enter the UA-code you want to send these events to. NOTE: You first need to connect your Google Analytics account and add the custom dimensions.

If you want to do this for multiple workspaces and/or Google Analytics accounts, you can add another Google Tag Manager channel and repeat the process. Since we will never delete data from your Google Tag Manager workspaces.
