Before you start, make sure that you have the following thing set up correctly:

  • Make sure that you have full access to a business ad account (business manager) with a facebook pixel linked to it. If you don't have that access, you will not be able to sync data towards facebook ads from Datatrics.

  • The Facebook Pixel is placed correctly on your website

  • You have accepted all Custom Audience Terms of Services (all check marks should be green like the image below). If you haven’t, you can click on the names of the different custom audiences and you’ll be redirected to Facebook where you can accept them.

Customer Journey and Campaign synchronization

To synchronize audiences of profiles in customer journeys and campaigns, just check the option to synchronize profiles to external platforms. You can find this option in the settings tab of every customer journey and campaign.

Campaigns
When checking the “Sync to external platform” option for Facebook Ads in a campaign, Datatrics will create an audience in Facebook Ads and every profile in the campaign will be added to this Facebook Ads audience. The name of the Facebook Ads audience will be:

Datatrics - Campaign: {{name of the campaign}}

Customer Journeys
When checking the “Sync to external platform” option for Facebook Ads in a customer journey, Datatrics will create an audience in Facebook Ads and every profile in the customer journey will be added to this Facebook Ads audience. The name of the Facebook Ads audience will be:

Datatrics - Journey: {{name of the journey}}

Datatrics will also create audiences for all buying phases and will add profiles to the audience of the buying phases they’re in. So profiles in a customer journey are not only in the audience above, but also in an audience of the assigned buying phase. The names of the Facebook Ads audiences will be:

Datatrics - Journey: {{name of the journey}} - Lane: orientation
Datatrics - Journey: {{name of the journey}} - Lane: comparison
Datatrics - Journey: {{name of the journey}} - Lane: decision
Datatrics - Journey: {{name of the journey}} - Lane: evaluation
